Hey,

My name is Bill. My dad and I just got back into fishing the big lake a couple of years ago. Dad chartered his old boat back in the 80's out of Lefty's Coho Landing in portage. With us kids growing up he got out of it. We bought a 21 ft galaxy for a heck of a deal and set it up for trolling 3 years ago. We have been getting better each year since the old ways of the 80's really don't work anymore since all of the changes to the lake. I learned a lot from the other forums on here and hope to pass on a few things that i have learned myself. We live south of chitown in the sticks north of Kankakee. We normally fish Portage and East Chicago in the spring/early summer. We trailer to Waukegan 10 times a year and Port Washington Wisconsin a couple times too once the water warms up.
