I just added a rod watcher seats/boarding steps to my Hewescraft. Facing aft is more comfortable to monitor the spread. The bench seats made a good platform to mount the stainless folding brackets to. I added some aluminum quarter inch bars for strength and rigidity. I used some 3/4 inch treated plywood for the seat and 2 inch foam and marine vinyl for the seat cover. It is actually very easy to sit on.

They worked out real well Don.

I like what you got here don, I definitely need something like this on the back of my rig.

Thanks Al. Easy job, got the wall mount seat brackets off Amazon and the aluminum reinforcement bars from them also. Used some left over 3/4 inch plywood for the seat. Went to a trim shop and bought a scrap of marine vinyl and some 2 inch foam for the cushion. Works well.
