just remember this
The company has not gone out of business
They are dropping at least for now the marine OUTBOARD engine portion of their business
They are still supplying parts their parts division is a big profit center for them
They are still covering warranty claims but only thru authorized dealers
I for one hope they sell off the outboard division to some company that has the pasion for building outboards and does not have the distraction of building all these other products
I am of the opinion this motor design is superior in several ways and is only scratching the surface of its potential just like Honda was in the early 70s when they came out with their the first 4 stoke outboards
any one that has purchased these motors from calumet marine will receive priority service warranty or otherwise as usual as long as we are able we stand with our customers and friends sorry for any anxiety this may cause Its not as bad as some other dealers have been trying to put out there > There is no reason to FIRE SALE your EVINRUDE ENGINE

90% OF THE PROBLEMS I Have expeienced with these motors starts off with a small problem that kets wrongfully diagnosed by a so called certified tech that in my openion has no business taking the hood off and tunrs into a massive head ake for the customer put good oil ion them only take them to places with the training AND EXPERIENCE !
