Can you guys recommend someone who could service my boat trailer? Looking to have it checked over from end to end. Brakes, bearings, etc. Thanks.

I would try calling Valpo Trailer on Rt 30 near the Harley dealer. They are great for parts and I think they do service. Rudey

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE TIRES !

Make sure they are always kept up to presure especially in the winter months when not using them
Dry rotted tire should never be taken on the highway
also often forgotten is wheel balance because we are not riding in the trailer . out of ballance trailer tires greatly reduce light bulb life and cause crackes in fenders and cuase pre mature tire failure

I agree with Frank - make sure your balance is spot on since you cant feel it like you can in a vehicle.

With that being said, I never did that when I had a trailer-ed boat. I was lucky and had a newere'ish rig and honestly never even considered it sadly while I should have in hind sight. Whats the best process in your opinion - just drop the trailer off at a tire shop to be checked?

When ever you replace tires on a trailer make sure you ask to have them ballanced do not settle for some one telling you its not needed on a trailer or the smaller tire sizes . When ever a tire is serviced or repaired make sure they are reblallanced all ballanced tire will have weights on the tire rim alloy wheels will have stick on weights IF THERE ARE NO WEIGHTS ON THE TIRE RIMS THEY ARE NOT BALLANCED !
