30 (limit) in 4 hours. Nice sized keepers, tossed back 10 or so small ones. East of harbor.
Caught 9 in about 2 hours in 20-22' where marina neighbor caught 30 on Sat., ended up with better action in 30-36' today.

There was some perch-on-perch crime going on as several had baby, 1.5" perch in their stomachs.

Can you launch from Michigan City? Or do I have to run over from Portage?

On weather delay for perching this morning....

Yes, but Washington Park ramp (1 min. from lake by boat) usually closed on weekends in summer for special events, or parking lot locked after rowdy nights. Trail Creek Marina (12 min. from lake) often doesn't open early during week. Check with Port Authority (872-1712, www.mcmarina.org). There are maps on their website, too.

Most trailer boat over here in LaPorte Co. just go to New Buffalo (another 10 min. on Hwy.) to launch for perch - open 24/7, close to lake and fishing is often better and larger limits in Mich.

As for running over from Portage, perch should be there soon. We spent a lot of time fishing west of MC from Pink house to Pavilion last summer
