Thanks for the report Fish Head. I have never been to Maxi but it is on my plan to do list. Looking for a good panfish lake that is not trolling motors only.

Me too , a lot of people do well at maxi , it's a very clear lake , did really good on smallmouth there in June drifting in 8-12 feet with golden roaches . But no good today , but nice day

Maxi has been good the past couple weeks. Went yesterday and it was SLOW. Fished the same spots, same techniques, got on the same schools of perch. I'd catch one in a spot then not another for 20 mins. I'd move over 20 feet find another school drop down and catch one right away, then nothing. Brought the Marcums out, had several lookers but after that first fish was caught, nothing.

Some days there on fire, the next there shut down. Gotta keep moving I guess, put a time limit on the spots.
We try to drift till we get a hook then throw the spot lock on till it slows then we drift a little farther.
