Skunked first time this year. Tried to find perch today without any success. North of ditch to 50 fow. West of ditch from 10 - 40 fow. Went to the donut. Big & little blowout. Saw 4 boats, nobody catching anything.

We worked the ditch area - saw a few get caught but sonar was empty. We ended up shooting over to Gary where we found a nice school. We got on em but they had lockjaw. We caught 6 with another 5 lost (how does this happen? lol). I am thinking we are nearing the end of the spawn, and likely most fish are gone. Poorboy should have some insights.

BTW bob - I think I got my radio fixed. After I saw you I began wondering if the issue was me. Sure enough, the weather stations were cutting in and out. I pulled my radio, unscrewed the antenna coax and screwed it back in. Everything seemed to be fine after that.

I've about had it with all these radio issues!! Haha. Good thing we caught it now, before we start running offshore.

I know right? Too many issues around here with an all too critical safety component. All the more reasons to always do a radio check as soon as you get out.
