I haven’t done it but I have in late October with success and failure. Depends on the weather. Typically Perch fishing goes well when the lake is calm for several days and water clarity is good. That time of year the lake seems to be rough more than its calm and the water clarity is not good. I suppose if we get a good week of south winds and the water is clear the fish might be there.

Thanksgiving time frame (give or take depending on weather) around the #4 (corner of the port wall) out of Portage. You likely will have to use our sonar to pinpoint a small productive area, but it will surely pay off. Often times when you use your sonar, you have to zoom in and look for those fish that are belly to the bottom. Find them and its one after another. If you are just off and its a long day.

I’ve done it and with great success (some days) but as Baron stated it all depends on wind and water clarity which can be so unpredictable in November. We’ve had unbelievable days and we’ve gone out and froze our buns off for next to nothing. But if you can get a couple warm days with south winds you better get out there. Get a good GPS unit also because fog and mild November days go together sometimes.
