Fished from 4 to about 6:30 after work. Wind was kicking pretty good from the SW so we decided to head east.

Found some schooled up fish in 22 FOW about half a mile past the condos and caught 5 in quick order. Wind switched to a constant 10 knots west, waves picked up a little bit, and poof, gone. Spent the rest of the afternoon searching around without marking much of anything.

Had planned on running further east, but upon powering up leaving the harbor I discovered my port side exhaust manifold has a crack in it and sprays water pretty good at planing RPM... Pretty much 8 mph top speed until that gets fixed...

Cast, it's a Mercruiser I/O. Might grind it down and epoxy it to make it through the rest of the season, haven't decided yet. Wasn't planning on heading offshore really so I guess I could just putz around low speed inshore for the short amount of time left this year. Probably end up redoing both sides and the elbows before next season... Break out another thousand!!!

If it was aluminum I could weld it for ya. That cast iron is tough to weld and never lasts.
