Thought I would give the afternoon/evening Perch a try. Usually like to fish in the morning. Heard that the prior evening was pretty good. Got out way to early around 1:30. Man it was hot. Picked up 15 during the day. Waited for sunset. That took forever. Sunset was at 8:08. When 8:10 came, the bite was on. We caught 15 perch in just 5 minutes. I was exhausted with trying to keep two rods in the water. We didn't catch monsters, but some were pretty descent size. Next time I fish for Perch in the evening, I will be on the lake by 5:00 pm. Way to much fun when the Perch bite is on!!! We fished east of donut by the blowouts.

We have been east of that area and ran into same thing. Hot bite was when the sun went down.

Thanks for the report, would like to try the evening sometime but my fishing partner is not too keen on going out when it gets close to dark. Rudey
