Are there any perch reports on the south end of this lake at all? I've heard a few rumors, but don't see any reports, good or bad..

I think overall its been a tough year down here. Some days have been good, and heard of fish being caught here and there. I think due to the slow season a number of folks are keeping reports to themselves perhaps.

Every time I have been out this summer it has mostly been a long sonar search for small and scattered schools. I have not found any large areas of fish like normal - at least not where I have been searching which is generally from the Donut to MI City.

I wonder how perching has been up toward New Buffalo. I have heard St. Joe is having a banner year for perch.

It was tough couple days ago. Found them in 15 foot of water and only landed 2. Not interested in minnows that day. But if dirtyx is not catching anything usually nobody else is either. Lol.

Yeah from what I've been hearing from reliable sources the fishing Portage to MC has been hit or miss but pretty much a miss and when they do get fish they are smaller fish and they are finding the schools very early at sunrise in shallow 12 to 16fow feeding on small fry and once the sun comes up and the jetskis start running the fish scatter. Basically it's been early morning for 2hrs at the most. I haven't been over that far east for about a month or so, I don't get erect catching those smaller fish.
