I was wondering just where we are able to perch fish around the 95th street area? In years past we would park by the scrap yard and walk to the RR bridge. Was a good spot when the perch are around. Other spots were the slips to the north. Are they open for fishing or do ya get chased out after 5 minutes of fishing. Grateful for any help. If your worried about giving your spot away you can PM me also. LOL

Used to fish the railroad bridge in the eighties also, the lot north of 95th Street Shrimp House used to be open also.   Was super sweet @ 95Th. Street, was able to drive right up to the river and fish.  Navy Pier was great before the revamp of it.   Had parking meters(25 cents per hour) right in front of the pier and was very good in the fall and winter. Made it on the local Chicago news(Veterans Day/Weather Forecast pan shot) a couple of times while fishing on the pier.   KJK

Don't know if you can fish the railroad bridge cement protection barriers anymore at 92nd street.  The railroad bridge used to be the EJ&E(local railroad) which was bought by the Canadian National.  They might be more strict in there trespass policies.  I know people were fishing from the bridge on the 95Th street bridge and wouldn't get off the bridge when it needed to be raised and the police were not allowing it anymore.  I have not fished there in a long while (25 + years) so don't know what you can do or not.  My old Lund needs work and not sea worthy and I was thinking of taking a ride around that area again to drop a line.  I know about 89th. street slip off of LSD looked promising but also read about getting kicked out by security depending on the guards.                                        KJK
