Does anyone ever try for perch at night on the river?

As far as the actual river I have not but years ago there used to be a decent number of anglers that would fish them under the lights at cal harbor from shore ( just to the north of the ramp) we actually used to do pretty well . That being said if you go I would recommend having a buddy with that neighborhood is pretty rough nowadays especially after dark
