Looks like the hot weather and south winds have got a thermocline formed. As long as the weather doesn't mess it up in the next few days, it could be game on!

Hey Ben I remember in the past you've mentioned that you normally search for whatever depth is around 70 degrees.  How much does that matter when things settle like they have recently and there isn't any water that's 70 degrees yet?  Thanks.

When the water column is pretty warm, like 72+, I start looking in depths in the 60-68 degree range usually and adjust from there.

If there's a hard thermocline (like there is right now) I start at that depth and move shallower

But sometimes you'll find em in ice cold water and other times nearly on the beach in warm water, so always worth checking around

Fished from a ways west of ditch to state park pavilion, came up with one small perch and a bunch of gobies. Marked some good looking marks along the way but very little action. Just an update as of 6/20.

Seen good reports last 2 days in New Buffalo, and a friend is currently doing very well in St. Joe as well

Sounds like 30-40 feet for both ports. Don't have any info on specific locations though
