No perch yet? Hopefully these hot southern winds will help bring them in. Hoping for a great perch year.

I have heard a couple dud reports - folks that marked a few and caught one or two kinda thing. They probably are just wrapping up the spawn, at least the stragglers.

Water is still pretty cold but will heat up and maybe stratify after this next big heatwave, hopefully then it will be game on

Ben do you have any updates on the buoy? We checked around on Tuesday but came up blanked on perch. Surface was 66/67, intake was saying 58. I saw very perch looking marks on the bottom Friday out in 65-70fow while trolling. Maybe the minnows in the boat scared em off

buoy is deployed now , but not all the data is getting displayed. Currently you can find wind/waves/surface temp on the IISG site, but the other 3rd party sites like Seagull, Freeboard, uglos, etc  don't have the data.  Think it must be cursed this year!

Is the temp string not going to happen? You had said they were going to look for it. Such a useful tool for summer fishing. Wonder how much it would cost to replace?

forecast.weather.gov/product.php?issuedb...product=omr&site=lot

This is the link I used before the buoy went in for various temps. It got the buoy surface temp and the water intake for MC which is a bottom temp so you can see if there is a break anywhere near shore even if you can’t tell exactly where.
