Heard a rumor of good fishing up north. With a forcast of a calm lake we ran 30 miles north and fished in 85 feet of water. We ended up 13 for about 30 I guess I need a hook sharpener. But the A team was not on the boat today. Ended with 6 lakers 3 kings one was 14.5 lbs, 1 steel, 3 coho one what's 8.5lbs. And then the wind came and it was a 90 min ride back in but at least it was not a back breaking ride

13 for 30 doesn't happen when I'm on the boat. B)

I wish I could have went. The long choppy boat ride still beats unpacking.
Greg ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ :woohoo:

No it does not let and let it be known I did not reel in one fish. I am trying to find new candidates to fill your shoes when your not there. As you can see its not working out well. Lol

sounded like Capt Ralph was about where you were (he said he ran 30 miles North from EC). He also said it was not a fun ride back in the smaller boat but they did ok as well. Sounds like it was a good day - thanks for the report.

I ran up there with captain Ralph, kingseeker, and another charter captain. Fishing was very good we just could not keep the silver fish on line for more than 30 sec. But what can you do.

Nice work. When the Coho are in roll and get off mode loosen the drag to the point it's clicking periodically running the board or diver. The loose drag will help get past that first 30 seconds when the Coho is rolling. You still won't get all of them but it will help keep a few hooked up.
