Nice work. When the Coho are in roll and get off mode loosen the drag to the point it's clicking periodically running the board or diver. The loose drag will help get past that first 30 seconds when the Coho is rolling. You still won't get all of them but it will help keep a few hooked up.

What were you losing them on downrigger, dipsy lead? Just curious - last year and the beginning of this year I had mono on my dipsy rods and when I switched to braid my loss ratio went down (not that I have been out a lot but so far that seems to have helped). I also keep my dipsy and planar rods drag set so it clicks periodically - someone told me last year when I was starting Salmon fishing that was the best way to have them set.

I normally set them just tight enough that they don't click. I have never had an issue with loosing that many fish until yesterday's trip. Most that were lost were on my long lines.

I will let you know if it helps but I checked my log and we have caught 166 fish this year it maybe time to sharpen some hooks.
