I still have yet to pull the trigger and spend $450 for a temperature sensor for my downrigger. Has anyone seen a good thermocline recently out of the ditch or EC? Also is there a cheaper tool to find it? My dad had one of the old reel thermometers where you have to stop the boat, reel the probe down, and look at the mechanical depth counter but that isn't working anymore (who remembers these!!!).
