If you aren't retired, you'll recognize one picture that is attached!
If you are retired you'll recognize the other one, I would bet.
Don't understand why it has to be that way.

I could be the poster child for that first picture. That big lake is a monster. It is like it wants my soul a little piece at a time.
There was an article in todays Evansville Courier about Lake Michigan. The author, Marwa Eitagouri, from the Chicago Tribune was saying it is the deadliest of all the Great Lakes. The drownings in LM equal to all of the other Great Lakes combined. The blame is the shape of the lake and how it promotes the formation of the dangerous waves. It sure got me this this weekend.

Been reading a book about Great Lakes ship wrecks , all the captains say Lake Michigan is worst one to navigate because of how quick and big the seas can build in bad weather, she ain't no puppy!!

Yessir. Some friends and I tried to go out of New Buffalo Saturday. We knew there might be some rough water to start, but the forecast said it should've laid down by midnight and continue to improve through the morning. We headed out at 5a, and it had not laid down. We got to 55 FOW when the boat captain turned it around and headed back in. He said we could do it, but fishing in 4-6 footers would not be comfortable for anyone. We waited at the marina for a couple hours then took a look and waves were still crashing over the break wall. So, no dice. I drove back to South Haven where my family and I were vacationing, where I had no acces to a boat, and the lake was pretty much flat and calm.
