Yes. Nice thermo break around 49 down it seems. Fish will feed in the warmer 50 to 60 degree water. Anywhere in the mid 50 degrees and colder is what your looking for.

I don't put the expensive probe on the cable when fishing close like this but I did notice today my DR weights were cold when I pulled them up. Didn't fish more than a half mile offshore at Portage -15 to 48 feet.

Bodes well! Not much N to the winds in the predicted near future.

Fish I caught today were getting pretty dark but the meat was nice and orange.
