Seven salmon. Reads well, but barely 18 pounds in total.
Started in 75' and trolled out expecting to run across a few lakers and maybe a immature chinook or two. Caught a six-pound chinook on set-up then nothing on rods, nor graph, until turned back in at 95'. Removed a 15" coho that was D.O.A. on a 'rigger on the return trip, then once back inside 75', probably had 10 fish on in last hour, landing five - another six-pound king and four coho at 15-16".
Wouldn;t normally keep fish that small, but had one in the box and crew was hungry for a last salmon meal of the year. One chinook came on a Spin Doctor and fly, but most action was on Super Slims (green dolphin best) on 'riggers and pinned sliders 50-65' down.
Each of the salmon had several 1.5" alewives in their stomachs.
