Sunday, 2 of us launched around noon and fished at Port of Indiana. Our plan was US steel however a boat came in and he said he limited out in the morning in less then 2 hours at the Port. We were the only boat caught 10 coho and released 2 browns about 6 lbs each. We were done in about 3 hours. Had about 15 hits that we missed. Used small body baits such as Thin Fins and size 7 Raps, any recommendation in type and size of hooks to improve hook up %.

At the dock a boat had a couple of Cohos and then he switched to Crappie which he caught at the 1 st Y in the ditch

Anything sharp. I've never felt the need to replace the factory my hooks on my Rapalas they are pretty sturdy in my opinion. For body baits make sure it's a short shank treble. Something sturdy too, no thin wire hooks.
Greg ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ :woohoo:

I've also never changed any of my "factory" hooks out. I've taken the sharpener to a few baits that have been thrashed pretty good. We only had one shake-off on Sunday. At least that we saw.

There are hooks out there that are "over bent" meaning they are J shaped no more. I think the style is referred to as "barbarian". The ones I have are very sharp and are a forged hook making them bend resistant. The hook almost functions like a circle hook. Makes the hook very tough to throw.
