TOPIC:

We started fishing around the Hole in the Donut Discharge in the driving rain and fog and thought to myself, these are Coho Conditions. As we were setting rods we started catching fish immediately. Of course the visibility was so poor we were able to stay on this pod of Coho without any nearby boats taking notice and crowd us out of our top secret spot.

Fishing was so easy, we decided to mix it up from the standard baits to see what else would work and today I'm here to let you in on a little secret.

Spinner Baits.


Simply amazing.

Because of the spectauclar fishing conditions we moved around and touched some of our other hot spots. We went out and found fish over the Bull Shoals, in the Panama Canal, Port of Chicago, and the Laker Breakwall.

We finished 20 for 33 (new net guy)

And to think I didn't even mention the new auto pilot we rigged with duct tape, zip ties, and a broken piece of downrigger cable.

Now thats MacGyver stuff right there. I would have just used the net pole and the gyroscope out of my phone. Plus I would have used fluoro line and not broken rigger line - because stealth is better whether it matters or not!

But we showed up with a broken rigger line already. (Ask Bill, I had nothing to do with it)

It's all about using what's on hand in the moment.
