Went out of the ditch this morning. Trolled west along the beach. We went 3 for 3. Two coho and one 9lb brown trout. The trout hit a red thinfin, the coho came on D/F green and black. The lake was absolutely beautiful. Sorry for the picture guys. One of these days I will figure it out.

We made it out today too. Sloooow day for us, we went west along the beach with 2 quick releases that was it in that area. Ran back to #4 trolled east to the end of the mill break wall, nothing. Headed back west picked up 1 13 in. Ho at the mouth of the Port. continued west to #4, got maybe 50 yrds past the corner in 46 FOW picked up a 18 in. coho. we went in, out, up and down & all around with nada results. DR, flat lines and planner boards with the usual baits, d&f, thin finns, spoones & body baits. Just didn't happen for us today. Rudey

Nice looking brown bob. That is the specie I have not taken there. Can you target them somehow?

Not sure Don. I never have targeted them. Usually get a few in the spring coho fishing.

I talked to a few buddies tonight that have been trolling over by the 3rd light off Inland and out by the schoals and they all pulled 3 and 4 man limits of cohos. Guess it's about that time for those fish to start heading up towards Chicago.

The third light bite is dead, at least it was for me. Caught one over there so half my cohos yesterday came from that area. Ended up moving out to 40+ feet of water on the Indiana Shoals and had a great time playing with lake trout. Caught a 9 pound brown as we were clearing lines. Looked just like Bobs but the guy holding it stood up straight!
