Fished out of portage and spent all day on the lake. Fishing was very slow. Tried Gary light with one miss. Then headed back toward the ditch out to 60 fow. Ended up 2 for 3 with one king and one coho. King came off a green spoon 16 feet down on a rigger in 52 fow. Coho was on a planer with a coho crusher.

I saw you guys coming out as we were putting the boat in. You guys did better than us, we weren't able to get anything to go. We set lines coming out of the mouth and trolled east to the end of the number 4 wall and back to the ditch in 50ish FOW with not even a sniff on a 9 rod spread. enjoyed the nice weather anyway, beat sitting around at the house all nite.

Thanks for the reports guys. Sounds like we maybe fishing offshore from here on. I know last weekend the surface temps were in the low to mid 50s depending on location on the southend.

Bill- you are hoping offshore is starting so you have an excuse to get in on those Lakers. I seen you itching to pull lines and head out last weekend.

Lol you are very correct. About the time I was ready to run out that king hit. My mind changed quickly after that.

We were also out on Tuesday and went 1 for 3. Missed a couple at the Gary light then just kept trolling west and picked one up by Buffington.

Anybody starting to see any bait yet?

I marked zero bait balls on Sunday and we covered a lot of water from Gary to past Inland.

Nice work John - tough time of year. Fish are scattered more often than not.
