Sorry for the late post but since I went to a little different area thought it might be worth putting up. A lot of action around the wreck but decided to see if there was anything out deeper in the form of Steelies or Kings so my son and I headed straight north and set-up in 90' and kept going. At about 110' action started picking up with 53 degree water down 55' so I set the lowest rigger there followed by one at 50', then 45', then 40' with sliders on the deepest 2. Copper of 250' and 200' on the outriggers. Spoons on 4 and fly/dodgers with mini-spin 'n glows on top of the Howie Peanut flies. 200' Copper was my Steelie plan being the shallowest and with a magnum orange. Turned out the Lakers liked it most which reminds me of previous post that someone had about how to target Lakers and my response was to simply try not to catch them- it works every time! Made it out to 140' with 114' to 130' being our best depths going 8-11 which were 7 Lakers and 1 small King which due to ugly hook-up we had to keep. Lost two beautiful Steelhead off the copper that continued to show off after the hook was long gone. Definitely fish out there if you want to make the journey but with Coho still going strong in shallower it may be a tough call.
