Left the slip at about 6:45 am, ran out to 110 FOW water, NNW heading, and started setting rods. Temp got down to 45 degrees at about 100 ft. Turned to a West troll at 120 FOW. No hits and spun around to start an East troll in 125 FOW. Had a hit on a Braid Mag Dipsey back 150, down 70 ish I believe. Red Jensen 00 dodger / white / red fly. Rod just tapped furiously, no drag taken from the reel. Guessing it was a smaller fish, and it got off pretty much as soon as the rod was taken out of the holder, however, it did release the diver. Had a couple of most likely false releases on the riggers. Decided to troll back toward MC to see if we would get marks in any shallower water. No joy, pulled rods when we got to 60 degree water on the bottom in 75 FOW.

Troll speeds varied between 1.9 and 2.6 depending on direction.

Lesson learned, probably should have just kept going deeper until we started getting some decent marks. I wasn't staring at the graph the entire time, but I only saw 3 good marks the entire trip.

Only other boat out was a Charter who showed up about 15 minutes after we set down (he was loading up at the armory still when we headed out). He turned East in about the same initial depth. No idea if he was catching or not, as he seemed to be searching around like us with no consistent pattern. When we turned back toward MC, he was prob in 95 FOW, but had turned back NNW to go deeper again... Would have been nice to know if he was marking or catching at all.

Thanks for the report - poor fishing reports are extremely useful for everyone here and are greatly appreciated!
