My cousin and I went out for a little while this morning and figured we would see if anything came in yet to Pastrick since we did not have a ton of time and didn't want to deal with holiday weekend traffic at the big marina's. Ended up 10 short of a limit :). Beat up the hole in the wall for a while and ended up catching a plastic bag. One other boat was there and they ended up stealing our King from us (they started fishing after us so I say it was our King). Great morning on the lake with hardly any waves at all. Great morning other than the fishing. Maybe a couple more weeks and they will start to show up.

Glass half full Bob LOL. We did not intent to really get much but with the time limits and not wanting to deal with a bunch of weekend boaters we figured it would be worth a shot. It was worth washing the lures just for the time out on the water. What I heard was the one guy got the king at the hole in the wall off a rigger 25' down so pretty much scraping the bottom using a Blue something spoon. He supposedly also lost one at the boat but I did not see that; we did see him pull in the one silver. Top water was still almost 70 degrees and with only 32 FoW I think it is just still to warm for them to venture in much. Another guy was fishing the ship canal on the other side on inland and said he got skunked as well. We were running the full water column from about 10 to 23 feet down. Spoons at 23, J-Plugs around 15 - 18 and stick baits off of planar boards with inline weights so figure they were about 10 to 12 feet down.

Big Ed, sorry I took your king. It was a 20Lb male that hit a Blue Ice spoon off a dipsy about 25' down. The second king hit a green J-plug 10' down on a rigger, lost it when the line got caught on the downrigger cable, that fish looked to be about 15lbs, lost the J-plug. The third king,13lbs female hit a clown colored J-plug 14' down. Both J-plugs were about 60' back.

Yea we couldn't believe it when we saw you had one on right after we just trolled through there. after a few passes and nothing we started to head across to the candy stripes but about 1/2 across too many go fasts started to show up and we just decided it was time to go. Glad you were able to find some fish - just curious, what speed were you running?
P.S.Welcome to the Southend (I see that was your first post so not sure how long you have been signed up).

Speed was 2.2 to 2.4mph
We did mark a lot of fish past the hole in the wall, we thought they were probably drum till the first fish hit.

Well I think we did at least one pass in that range but we were everyone between like 2.2 and 3. Guess it just wasnt our day.
