TOPIC:

Fished the pier heads at first light looking for some kings. Caught one shaker king, a coho, and had a really nice rip on a flasher/fly in 2 hours. Gave up on that and headed off shore looking to fish the line between chalky and clear water

Set down in 95 feet south by the Chalets and immediately caught a coho setting lines... then nothing for awhile. Headed out to 130 and then zig zagged back in to 85. Picked away at them, mostly on thin fins. Red squiggle was best. Had a nice drive by on that same blue bubble flasher fly combo on a dipsy out 65. Otherwise the dipsys were dead. Ran spoons, flasher/fly, dodger/fly, nothing doing. Lead core was slow too. Even put the riggers down with sliders for a while, nothing except a lake trout. When the sun came out we got a few more bites.

Ended up with the shaker king, 5 coho, a laker, and a steelhead. All the bites off shore were between 95 and 105 feet.

Clear water out in 120+ feet was 38 degrees, the intermediate water in 50 to 90 was 40 degrees, and the river was 52 when we were coming back in.

Thanks for the info Ben. Still a good time it sounds like. Lots of shaker kings. Good sign for the future.
