Well, headed to St. Joe yesterday after work to see if all the hype was warranted lol. Didn't get the boat in the water till about 3 and Fished till sunset. Fished NW of the piers in 80 to 150 FOW. Ended up with 4 nice fat cohos and 2 kings 8 to 10 lbs. Seems as most people were getting kings in 30 feet and up yesterday. I got one on a rigger at 20' on a moonshine uv wonderbread. The other on five color lead with a homemade meat rig. The cohos came sporadically on various spoons. There were lots of big kings at the fish cleaning station, but the majority were caught during the morning bite. Moonshine magnum watermelon was a hot spoon for two or three people I talked to yesterday. It wasn't the nonstop insane action I was expecting, but not a bad day in all. Might give it another shot on Sunday. Water was nice and flat all day despite north winds around 8 to 10 mph. Got almost all fish on a south troll, and most people were getting fish at slower than normal speeds 1.9 to 2.5
