Had to celebrate the last day of students with a run out to the lake. Beautiful evening out of Michigan City. Trolled out to the MI line and back, circled about with little action. Picked up a couple of bait balls mid-depth in 50-55 feet of water and what appeared to be a school of perch in 50 feet right off the monkey house.
Caught two little salmon, told them to grow up and come back again. Started to head back to the harbor and got hit by a decent steelhead. Action was all on a blue and green spoon.
Worthwhile evening for sure.
