Met a buddy at St. Joe on Sat. to fish Lake MI for the first time this year. Ended up 9 for 13, with 7 keepers. Released 2 small coho shakers at the side of the boat. We caught a mixed bag of coho, steelhead and one king. Biggest fish were the king and steelhead at 6-7 # each. Best action was in 60-80 feet of water, 20-50' down. Took fish on spoons and flies, with more taken on spoons. Dipseys and 10-color leadcore caught all day, riggers were hot in the afternoon. Before 10 am, fish wanted dark greens (spoons and flies), after 10 am action was better on bright green and silver. Depending on where we were, 46 degree water started around 40-45' down, everything above that was in the 50's. Faster troll into the wind produced the coho.
