Late start due to the weather, unfortunately the kids tournament was cancelled both days. Set lines around 11:30 in 64 fow trolled east and north to 85' fow we ended up with 5 coho lost 3. Most all hits came from 65 to 78 fow.

Thanks for the report. I hope to get out this week some time and then the whole weekend for the HCC derby style club tournament.

I tried to get out on Saturday at St. Joe just to get stormed out. I may go out Wednesday after work if the person going out with me gets done at work on time. I am not sure how far I can run so my just go to laker land to get some nice sized fish for the guys going with me.

So,
First attempt in a couple years. Finding the fish was not the problem. having them come unbuttoned was the problem. Had a first time crew with me. My friend had his son who going to Fort Knox next week for basic training. He never salmon fished before. So we got him his biggest fish ( King about 15#) he ever caught> great father & Son time. Now off to the army. We ended up 2 for 9. Couldn't really put a pattern together because dodgers and fly's on dipsies and spoons on riggers took all the hits. Not great odds but a fun afternoon.
Straight North out of portage and the only place we took hits was 87' FOW. Hoping to get out again tommorow
