Got out late afternoon and fished with my youngest son and daughter in law. They took me out for Fathers day.

No hits at all on long lines one fish on 4 color and rest were down rigger fish. Never fished deeper than 38ft on riggers went 9 for 11. Others in the same area did much better with a early start.

Nice. What depth were you in split? 9 for 11 sounds pretty darn good to me. It was not a good morning for us at MC, and radio chatter sounded slow this morning other than lake trout. Good catch.

Way to go Ed, did the boat behave as it should have?

Evening fellas, never fished deeper than 60ft. All action was dodger fly, with 00 dodger and very short leader length to the fly.

Earlier in the season we fished leads around 12 inches, to 18. Today we shorten the leads down to 8 to 10 inches, best speed was 2.4.

Thanks Split for the report, we are planning on getting out in the am. Didn't want to go deep with the forecast, thought we will stay in close and see if any Steelies may have moved in. Rudey

Its nice to fish the bigger boat as the wife, sons, daughter in laws, grand kids can all be onboard.

Was nice to bump into Greg, Mark, and others yesterday and evening before. I think we gave Greg a good laugh trying to approach the gas dock for the first time this year. I never delt with a reverse current there and was really surprised as how different it made the approach to get gas.
