Hit Gary light 7am. First pass got one on the dipsy. Nothing for another hour. Water/wind was starting to pick up. Ran to the port and went 0 for 4. I’m not sure if it was the waves that was helping the fish get off today. By the time I saw the fish hit and started reeling it was gone. Didn’t get skunked and it always beats having to work.
Fish on!

It was a rough day, had two hook up right at the boat when I was setting lines and I couldnt get them buttoned up. they seem to just be scattered right now and not sure why they were short striking. Not sure how seasoned you are but if you are setting hooks to hard on these early coho, you might be ripping the hooks out of their mouths. They are mostly young and softer mouths from what I have seen.
