Ran out of portage to Gary and set lines about 8:15 with a crew that I work with. Started running the beaches before Gary. The start was slow but action kept increasing. About 10:00 the wind started kicking up making boat control a bit of PIA at times but we ended up 20 for 24. Mostly body baits - dodger / fly took a few. Caught fish anywhere from 2.2 to 2.8 mph. I could not identify a speed that was optimal. Overall it was just a consistent slow pick.

We shot back to Portage at about 11:30 and tried to find some perch but nada!

Great job
I was ou of Portage with my daughter for a little bit in the late afternoon to test out the new electronics. We trolled a couple of flat lines with body baits and managed 2 cohos in 90 minutes.

Sounds like you had a pretty decent day. Yard chores swallowed me up, so I wasn't able to make it out at all. But I did manage to build some valuable time away equity with the wife for future trips.
