I got to get back up for a 2 day trip Thursday and Friday and I really picked a great time to come up. The weather was spot on and the lake was as gentle as a farm pond back home. I brought a friend up to fish for the first time and he is ready to come back up and take another swing at 'em. Took home limits of coho for both days. No kings, lakers, or steelhead were caught. We tried but nothing for the effort. Dodgers/flies on dipsies. 5 color setups, 150 coppers, were good the first day. The second day all the presentations were working including the riggers this time. All the fish were in the 40 foot and above range to about 25 feet down. No spoon bites at all on Friday. Hot baits were the dodgers/flies again along with a Hot Tamale Super Tuna Bait. Went 5 for 7 on that lure. Went to the 3 corner area to fish both days. Thanks to Kelliann and One More Time for the help to make Jeff Pate's first time up a great time. Hope to be back when and if the Skams come home. Got a few pics. Meet Jeff.

I forgot to mention that Jeff got to experience a "coho crush" on Friday when we had more fish on the lines than we had anglers to deal with them. Stuck on 11 for a good while then I made a turn into some unfished water between a couple of tracks we were following and it was on. Four big coho hit at nearly the same time. Hard to do with experienced anglers but luck was on our side and the rookie Jeff and Mike managed to get it done. That is hectic fun when it comes together. Hard on nets and lures though as 2 flies had to be surgically removed from the nets when the last of the cohos got to meet up with all the others at the club "Livewell".
