Started about 5 am north and slightly west of Portage stopping at 80 fow. Lake was nice with light wave action and a slight breeze keeping the flies at bay. Put out a 5, 7.5, and a 10 color on one side and a 150, 200, and 300 coppers on the other side, all spoons. A dipsy running a meat rig, an swr with a spoon and a standard rigger setup with a slider rounded out my spread. Everything but the meat took fish, checked the rig after soaking a few hours and turned out my meat is probably expired and most likely fell off. Mongolian beef rv, burnt bread rv took multiple fish but everything took something. 1-15lb laker, 1-12lb king and a 8lb steelie were the best fish along with a bunch of throwback smaller Lakers and a handful keeper average coho.
Had almost lost my fingers looping the swr to put on the rigger release when a fish hit, grabbed the rod and the 2pc came apart! How fun was that!
Nice meeting you at the ramp while you were heading out Webster!
