Came up for a couple of days to fish and bring up some stuff I sold on the classifieds. On Wednesday we started out before daylight to get in on the skam run. Hooked up fairly quickly but lost the first couple of them. We hooked and landed a big goo then it went cold for a long while. Finally we had some more spoon bites and managed to put 3 in the box before the bite died again. We were making East to west trolls in 40 to 47 fow out in front of the ditch. We decided to pull lines and headed to the trash can area where we went 2 for 3. Ended the day there.

Brought up one of my twin sons David and an old plumber buddy of mine Dale to fish. First time on the lake for Dave and even being on my boat. He had come up with me 3 other times when we chartered but not once did we ever get out after we drove up. Something always kept us from fishing. Then college and grad school happened and we could never make a trip. Dale made a trip up 3 or 4 years ago. They both got to catch a couple of nice steelies.
I want to thank Bob for coming with us and running the boat while I was doing the driving. It made a good trip a great one. The boys really thought highly of you and appreciate the help.
Hot spoon on this trip was a Warrior UV Elite Blue Pearl. My boat has taken a bunch of fish 2 years running using this spoon. If you don’t have any you need to try a std and a mag. Good addition to your arsenal.
Here is a few pics.

Great job putting some fish in the boat. It’s always great to get friends and family out on our awesome fishery!
