I launched yesterday not knowing the lake/ launch conditions. Ended up catching 3 lakers and mature steelhead but only stayed around the ditch and port. Today I took my son along with my brother and nephew to Gary light to try our luck there. Slow and steady action until about 8:30 then they shutdown until 9:30 or so. Ended the day around 9:45 with 2 short passes over a pod of fish resulting in a 3 banger and 4 fish fire drill.  Mainly coho but several smaller browns were mixed in there.  The idiots were out jamming up the flow and running the dreaded Z route going in no logical trolling pattern. I wish I had a drone to see the madness from above because from the lake view it was a s*it show at times. Lake was 33 degrees,  ditch 40 degrees, Gary light 37-45 degrees water temp.  Some ice chunks floating around but easily traveling. We got wet and checked by the DNR at the launch, it was a great day!

Nice work!  Me and Alvin went out today - just went to the port.  Got 8 lakers (3 over 15) and only 2 coho.  Our temps were 32-35.  quick pass by the ditch at the end or the day, temps were 33-34 nothing doing.  Came in and went to Hooters :)  Great pics Steve!

Boatless!

We went out of Portage Marina - I assume Allseason did too. Also got checked by the DNR.  Younger kid - was perfectly polite and thorough.

Nice pictures. Pictures with the kids are my favorite. If everone would just go in a COUNTER CLOCKWISE direction at Gary Light it just might be enjoyable to fish!  I never understood it. 10 to 20 boats going in one direction and 1 or 2 in the opposite direction? Maybe if all the boats said something in a polite manner, Wrong Way Wooten might get the hint!
