Went out to the Gong then down the state line east to look for lakers. Had alot of success last weekend but today I found no takers at all, not even one pullback.  Marked baitballs but it looks like nothing out there to feast on them.

We started just north of the gong this am, 1 laker right away. Then it was hunt & peck on coho.  7 color, silver flasher/green fly did best, went 5/7 on coho. Mag hot & tot 75’ back , slider spoon @ 27’ down everything else came from the 7 color core. Back at it tomorrow afternoon!

It figures, i had no F/F in my spread, just spoons and spin doctor/spin n glows

Did you stay in Indiana (reciprical)waters or did you head into Illinois/Michigan  waters during your trip. Sounds like I'd probably need more than my current Indiana license if I want to fish out there.

Right on Indiana/Michigan line. Did also hear a few guys at Portage ramp talking about catching perch. I didn’t get any details though. It was miserably hot & the flies were terrible!  I wasn't in a very social mood.....
