Early morning trip out of New Buffalo. Set lines at 6:20 in 80ft of water north of harbor. First Coho on slider over rigger down 28 ft. at 6:30. Steady action all morning with a limit catch. Ended up with three nice Coho, a small King at 6lbs. and a Steelie at 8 lbs. Lost a big steelhead at the net after an awesome aerial display, and released 4 Lakers. Best action for me was spoons on riggers in the top 45 ft of water. The Lakers were pounding a Spin Dr/ green fly down 45 ft. Fished between 80-100 ft in a rather small area - kept getting bites and saw no reason to move . I never marked any bait balls today, but the Lakers were stuffed and spitting out alewives.

Great report!  This long weekend was the first time I’ve had fish spitting up bait. 5-6” Ailwives from a big laker and 3 of the coho we caught had half digested bait fish in their stomachs. 

I had a 3lb coho with a fresh 6.5" ale in his stomach. Crazy.
