Anyone going out this weekend? Haven’t heard much, curious what others think about heading out this weekend and where might be the best bet

I talked to a couple guys who planned to go out on Tuesday at EC but some pack ice floated into the bay and into the marina. So there is still some pack ice out there. That should clear out, but at least know, it's not "all clear."  Good luck if you go and give us a report. We are all chomping at the bit.

Might be the opening day for me this weekend. If I can finish the boat maintenance and stuff.  Reports of some ice is still floating around. Hope for it all to be far out by this weekend.  I will be out of EC if I do go
The little red rocket! It's all the boat I need ;)

I am considering going outta NB Saturday. Hopefully the launch and channel are all clear and the lake ice should be nowhere near as it's a SE wind predicted.

I was in MC for a couple of days, nothing doing there as if yesterday evening. Lots of effort from shore, no stringers. This time of year it can change daily though, so you never know.
The creeks yielded a few though.

I am sure there will be a huge attraction to get out Saturday - just be careful.  Those winds will be gusting out of the south at 30+.   If you have a single source of power / engine and it fails, its gonna get ugly quick.
Boatless!
