Found an old article, but very interesting read. A study done by Ball State. Indiana Waters Of Lake Michigan.
Interesting to see that the lake trouts #1 food fish was back then alewives. They had alot more food surces to choose from as the article portrays for those years. So now that the bloaters and smelt and others are now gone from the food chain today, I wonder what the lake trout are eating as there #1 food source today? If we knew this back when this study was done, then its just old news right?
