Got out at sunrise for a shakedown run and wet some lines. Action was pretty good just outside the mouth of the ditch. All hits came in 10-14 feet of water and the lure didn't seem to matter: dodger/fly, red thin fin, red/black rapala, perch hot-n-tot, all accounted for fish. Lots of 12" fish, only three legal fish made it into the cooler before the waves ran me and the little Alumacraft back to harbor around 9. No photos, sorry.

interesting about the small fish. I haven't caught anything under 15 from the pier in a couple weeks. 

Wonder if a big school of smaller fish moved in from offshore or something. 

I caught some smaller Coho yesterday out of New Buffalo that had to be measured. They were smaller than the fish that I caught earlier this month there. Must have been a bunch of little guys move in. We had some short hits and we released some smaller fish as well.

The Coho from my trip on the 22nd were all 17-20 inches, but I trolled East to #4 and was mainly catching them in 35-40 FOW.
