Started before the classic and watched the armada of boats take off at 6.  Watched what seemed like all most all of the boats go offshore.  We stayed in shore fishing anywhere from 25-60 feet and ended up going 3/3 with 1 coho, 1 20 inch king and 1 15lbs king.

Purple/yellow thin fish took the coho on a flatline, 9c mag glow frog took the smaller king and the 15 lbs king ripped a 5c super slim NBK.  15 lbs king didn’t fight too hard to start but once it got to the boat it took off perpendicular to the boat and then it become a chess match.  Luckily she stayed in front of our boards so no tangles and we were able to fight  her going parallel to the boat.  We were two minutes from picking up before the big king hit, crazy what one fish can do to make your day.

Marked plenty of bait in shallower at 40 feet and not much out deep, but out deeper 50ish feet is where we got the king.  None of the fish had any bait in them.

Nice job! In my opinion they are in close feeding then as the morning drags on they slide out to deeper water and near bottom to relax.
