MC Saturday 5/27 AM

Fished out front for steelhead for 45 mins and got a 5 lb brown on the rigger.  Moved out west towards the pink house working 55-65 fow and ended 10/12 on the whole deal with 2 lakers (8 and 12 lbs), the rest coho.  Riggers carried the load with lots of fish coming on main spoon and orange sliders.  Speed 2.3-2.5 gps.  It seemed like a lot of boats headed north out of MC to fish past the state line.  We did just fine fishing near-shore waters yet.

Portage Monday 5/29 AM

Dropped lines out of the ditch for steelhead pre-sunrise and took a 9 lber with an orange/gold magnum spoon on the 2 color.  Headed out with the pack to 65 fow looking for kings.  White crush f/f out 100 on the dipsy took another steelhead and a couple coho.  Other dipsy with blue bubble f/f took a 17 lb king.  Lots of bait inside of 70 fow but not much outside of that.  We creeped out to 85 fow but stayed mostly south of the pack.  Had dodger flies on only for a sliver of the outing since we were targeting kings but the radio chatter said they were hitting.  Fished mainly south of the state line in the 11's and 12's.  Ended the day 5/5.

Portage Wednesday 5/31 PM

Headed out at 5:45 to the 7's to 10's dodging the storms looking for kings.  Stayed on the hill south of the state line in about 60-65 fow where we marked the most bait and took a coho with a baby spinny setup on a 2 color right away.  Pretty slow most of the afternoon spare for another coho on a slider spoon and a 5-6lb king on the other orange slider spoon.  Still got some nice rips out of him despite the size.  Skated into port at dark and the lake laid down perfectly.  Surface water temp out in 65 fow was 64 degrees, surface temp within a half mile of the ditch was 60 degrees.  Cooler water is upwelling.
