Had to give St Joe a try last night. I didn't mark much in the river on the way out, so I ran out to 90 ft. and set up. Water is warm all the way down, with about the bottom 10 ft still being in the 50's. Worked out to about 120 and circled back. No takers and no marks other than the bottom. Ran back in to 60 ft and trolled in at sunset. Had a rigger go off and landed a giant 'goo. That was it for me. I trolled into the harbor up river all the way to Brandywine creek. A guy jigging in a kayak said he caught a king, and one boat at the ramp had caught one as well. I only saw one fish roll in the river and didn't mark anything that got me excited. More warm weather forecast for next week too. It may be over before it starts! trickle trickle.......

This warm lake water on the south end is really messing things up. I saw a few salmon moving upriver in the I94 stretch while bass fishing this weekend. Really need a big cold front and some colder lake water.

Btw I think you might be referring to Hickory Creek by Eagle Pointe in St. Joe.  Brandywine Creek dumps in by Niles, that'd be an impressive trolling run up river haha

The guys I spoke with said Brandywine -I just looked and where  I was  is really the  mouth of the Paw Paw river according to the map. It is just before the drawbridge at the end of the turning basin.
Once you pass the drawbridge the river is really shallow and not good for trolling.
