TOPIC:

With my fishing partner’s permission, I’ll give a rundown from our outing aboard the Kellian.  We set lines on 5/8 in close east of the ditch.  We worked a 6 rod spread using dypsies, 150 coppers, and riggers.  To our surprise, we managed to boat 8 fish including 3 kings and 5 cohos.  We lost 6 more with one wrapping around a wire diver before we had a chance to even attempt to free it.  Water temps (surface) started around 51.5 but slowly rose to 53/54 as the morning went on.  Marked scattered bait and just picked and pecked til we ran out of time.  As others mentioned, we are believing this was it for the inshore silvers.  If we can get back out in a few days, we may try just to confirm our thoughts.  We were surprised yesterday so maybe one more surprise is in store.  Great job, Bob and thanks as always for the trip!  Had a blast!  
  Quick funny story.  We both headed down below deck to check on something when we were stopped abruptly…”FISH ON!!” as we heard a drag ripping!  Was a Chinese fire drill with both of us fighting to squeeze thru the door to get up to the deck!  We laughed our behinds off!
