Can you catch salmon all summer  out in the deep

It's about 15 miles more or less. You can catch salmon and trout out there. The fish can spread out in deeper water. You will need to fish deeper than near shore. 

When fishing gets tough in later July and into August we will go out there on occasion.  Usually more like 200 - 240.  BN calls this the Flemish Cap.  We usually catch all species without issue, but the catch is moderate in size (not great) and the trip is pretty expensive in fuel.  Its a long way, alot of money and we usually say we just should have played a round of golf lol.

Usually from end of May to mid July every year fishing is good 70-115 fow. 8-13 miles. Once end of July through Sept offshore fishing goes to the flemish cap. Which is then usually better to try in close for incoming fish or do something else lol.
